TERMS OF SERVICE

    By creating an account or playing Mentaverse you agree to these Terms. Read them — especially the sections on NFTs, $STAR tokens, and virtual items, which carry real economic risk.
  

1. ACCEPTANCE

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mentaverse game, website, and related services ("Service") operated by Mentaverse ("we", "us"). By registering an account, connecting a wallet, or playing the game you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18 you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. ACCOUNTS

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including your password and any connected wallet. Do not share your password, seed phrase, or private keys with anyone — including Mentaverse staff. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.

You may not create accounts for others without their consent, use automation to create multiple accounts, or transfer accounts without our written permission. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. NFT PLANET OWNERSHIP

Mentaverse integrates with the Solana blockchain. Players may mint, own, and trade NFT planets that are represented in-game as player-controlled star systems. The following terms apply to all blockchain assets:

NFT planets are owned on-chain by the holder of the associated Solana wallet. Ownership is verified at login.
We do not guarantee any particular in-game utility, value, or functionality for NFT assets beyond what is described in current game documentation. Game mechanics may change.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. We cannot recover assets lost due to wallet compromise, accidental transfers, or third-party exchange failures.
Secondary market trading of NFTs occurs on third-party platforms (e.g. Magic Eden) subject to their own terms. We are not a party to those transactions.

5. $STAR TOKEN

⚠ $STAR is a cryptocurrency token. Cryptocurrency values are highly volatile. Participation in $STAR token activities involves significant financial risk. Nothing in this game or on this website constitutes financial advice.

$STAR is an independent token associated with the Mentaverse ecosystem. Holding or trading $STAR is subject to the risks inherent to all cryptocurrency assets including but not limited to: price volatility, liquidity risk, regulatory risk, and total loss of value. We make no representations or warranties about the value or future utility of $STAR.

6. VIRTUAL ITEMS AND IN-GAME CURRENCY

MVC (Mentaverse Credits) and other in-game currencies and items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and are not transferable outside of the game. We may modify, remove, or rebalance virtual items and currencies at any time without compensation. You do not own virtual items — you have a limited, revocable license to use them within the Service.

7. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

Cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorised third-party software to gain an advantage
Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, databases, or other players' accounts
Reverse engineer or decompile the game client or server software
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Impersonate Mentaverse staff or other players
Spam, advertise, or solicit other players for commercial purposes within the game

Violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account without refund.

8. USER CONTENT

Any usernames, in-game text, or content you submit ("User Content") must not be illegal, offensive, or infringing on third-party rights. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your User Content within the Service. We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our discretion.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All game code, artwork, sounds, narrative content, and branding are owned by Mentaverse or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without written permission. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you.

10. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

We aim to provide a reliable multiplayer experience but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be taken offline for maintenance, updates, or in response to security incidents. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.

11. DISCLAIMERS

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MENTAVERSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mentaverse and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your use of the Service.

14. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting piglicker75@gmail.com. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mentaverse is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you waive any right to a jury trial or class action participation.

16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email or by posting a notice in-game. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
